Wow! I just can’t believe that this little blog has been cooking along with Le Tour de France for 7 years; and that year-on-year you lovely readers keep coming back to check us out. Thank you! With 7 years under our belt however, we thought it might be time for a little spring clean and refocus.
Musette du Jour is first and foremost about following along with and cooking our way through the Tour de France each year. We love the journey of culinary exploration we embark upon as the Tour takes us down paths less traveled. This year our 2019 Cook Along will be focused on bringing you some of the ‘big ticket’ dishes that have so far escaped our attention. On the menu you will find Coq a Vin and Confit Duck just to whet your appetite.
However, we will also be veering from the traditional recipes at times to bring you modern and contemporary recipes that showcase ingredients offered by a particular region we visit with world’s greatest bike race. A great example of this is the simply stunning Pink Champagne Celebration Cake complete with Champagne Italian Meringue Buttercream that we will create over the two nights we spend in the heart of the Champagne region.
We can’t wait to get started on this year’s Tour de France Cook Along and we hope to see you along the way!
